Fresh out of college, with a degree in Psychology and a brand new job as an HR Specialist at a large global transportation company, I thought I had it made! A lover of structure and rules, a job where I followed a path and enforced policy was made for me. But, an early interaction with a rebel co-worker challenged my notion of HR, and pointed me toward a new direction – the right one – though it would take years to arrive there.
