Transforming Managers into Leaders

This is a course that will teach managers the basics of what it means to be a “coach.” Coaching is an opportunity to create a trusting and collaborative relationship between the manager and the employee. It’s a way of helping people achieve extraordinary performance in their work. It’s about integrating the skills of leadership into management responsibilities.

We will:
Define what coaching is and how it differs from “just” managing
Describe the elements needed to coach someone, e.g. empathy, genuineness.
Assess the needs of their employees through the use of powerful questions.
Create goals/plans for what the coaching experience will achieve.
Understand and implement the 6 skills of the Basic Coaching Mind Map.
Demonstrate their skills in interactive experiences … practicing coaching.
Demonstrate the ability to give and receive feedback regarding coaching skills

Receive 1.0 General HRCI and SHRM recertification credits.
