In “Uncovering and Learning From Personal Bias,” Sherry Darden walks us through exercises to help identiy and understand our own personal biases so that we can learn to set them aside and make unbiased decisions at work and in our own lives. Using storytelling techniques, Darden leads the audience through a listening skills activity that helps shine a light on what unconcious biases that we may not be aware of and shares tools and tips on how to set them aside so they do not cloud decision-making. We all have personal bias, learned or inherited, that we are not conscious of, but we can become conscious of them using specific tools.
